About
The University of Chicago Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine is a recognized leader in orthopaedic medicine. Our program is one of the top in the nation, and growing every year.
Providing excellent clinical care is directly tied to research and to educating future ortho surgeons today. Basic, clinical, and translational research in orthopaedic science inspires us to create new knowledge and innovative approaches to treatments. Passing that knowledge to our residents and fellows will push the boundaries of orthopaedics to new levels. Learn more about the people and the programs of our department.
Letter from the Chair
It is an honor to serve as the new leader for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine at the University of Chicago. I bring my experiences from other institutions as well as my service from 8 years on faculty here at UChicago to this leadership position, and I also bring energy and commitment every day.
My goals are far-reaching, and include building and growing the department in both size and national prominence, as well as continuing to train an exceptional group of residents and fellows, and building our research program. It is my job every day to support our exceptional faculty, advanced practice providers (APPs), staff, residents, fellows, and administrators. All of these people work together to continue our excellence.
As we grow, we want to celebrate the accomplishments of this group, while providing the highest level of patient care, education, and research.
